Missions are the overflow of God’s love in our lives. As part of the global church, we are committed to God’s work both in our city, nation and around the world.
COVID update: while we are not going on any international mission trips in this season, we continue to support the missions we have committed to.
Here are the missions we are directly involved with:
Casa de Luz Children’s Home – We have partnered with Abbotsford Vineyard and La Hermosa Church, Mexico, in this ministry to children and parents in Primo Tapia Mexico. Casa de Luz provides child care during the day, hot meals, tutoring, school uniforms and supplies, besides emotional and spiritual support for families. Since November, 2013, we have been regularly sending short term missions teams to serve as part of this ministry.
For more information contact our church office, or go to www.casadeluzmexico.com.
Young Life, Penticton – We partner with Young Life financially and through personal involvement. Young Life leaders are committed to friendships with kids – no strings attached. Young Life staff and volunteer leaders go where kids are; the high school campus, school games, practices, and local hangouts. Leaders are all about communicating God’s love to kids in terms they can understand. Our wonderful Young Life leader in Penticton is Liz Knibbecke. To find out more, go to www.younglife.ca.
Other opportunities – Through exposure to additional missions opportunities in various parts of the world, various people from Penticton Vineyard regularly serve along with other Christian missions groups to spread God’s love in those locations (e.g. Zambia, Liberia…). We encourage and bless people serving in these ways.
