The Leaders

Greg Hamm

Greg and his wife Whitney founded Jolt back in 2008. Ever since then, effective ministry to middle school kids has been deeply rooted in Greg’s heart. Greg is enthusiastic about life and is often called crazy and wacky by the kids he disciples. He believes that the Kingdom of God is available to young and old and challenges the youth to pursue Jesus passionately. Greg loves food, coffee and all things fun and awesome. He has three beautiful children, Aaron, Alexa and Riley.

Lindsay Kohlhauser

Lindsay keeps busy being a self proclaimed professional yak wrangler. Lindsay loves driving her truck into the mountains to breathe fresh air and look at trees. Her interests include kayaking, slushies, road trips, camping, Netflix, & playing the accordion. Every day she is amazed and surprised by how good God is. She loves the adventure of learning how to be closer to him and how to listen to his voice. Lindsay also loves being a goof ball and looks forward to JOLT every week!

Scott Spurr

Scott and his wife Kara felt God led them to Penticton in October 2015 and shortly after moving here in spring 2016 found the Vineyard and have felt so blessed and welcomed by the Vineyard Church.
Scott has always felt a strong calling to mentor young people and feels God has placed this on his heart. He has a passion for discipling and guiding the young minds and hearts of the future. Scott and Kara have a little girl, Madelyn. Scott’s interests include hockey, biking, golf and basically anything outdoors. He looks forward to growing with the students at JOLT and with Christ.

Melanie Borthwick

Melanie Borthwick has been a part of a children’s ministry since 2012 when she was an intern at a previous church, working as assistant children’s pastor. She has been a leader in youth as well as organizing children’s church and Vacation Bible School in the summers. She attended Columbia Bible School for one year and is always eager to dive deeper into the Word. Melanie and her husband James started attending Penticton Vineyard Church in 2016 and she is excited to be working with the youth and Jolt here in Penticton. Both Melanie and James love meeting new people and doing things outdoors as well as playing board games and traveling.
